Ft. Lauderdale

We drove another 11 hours today, and finally arrived at our hotel about 8pm. Of course, the first thing the kids wanted to do was swim, so they're getting their fill now. In fact, as soon as we parked the car, Aidan whipped out his swim trunks - he wasn't even going to go into our room first!

This is my first brush with having to keep an eye on my teenager. There is a cadre of Italian-speaking 20-year-olds hanging out at the pool, about 70% male, as well as some alcohol, I believe. This is a new thing for me - guess I'd better get used to it, huh?!

Tomorrow is a somewhat restful, fun day - hopefully some beach time! Then we meet up with the rest of the team when they arrive late-afternoon, and have dinner together.

  1. Teenaged daughters are guaranteed to drive you old early. Based on what I've heard and seen of Morgan, though, you don't have anything to worry about.
